Travelling to Sapa by train could be an interesting experience for you in this trip.You will have 2 nights on AC shared cabin of 4 berths, starting at 8h20 pm, 9h15 pm or 10h00 pm from Hanoi railway station to Lao Cai.The train journey, for someone, is hard to sleep due to engine noises & many stops between, but to others, is like the swinging cradle to sleep in; and you arrive in Lao Cai station at 5h00 or 6h00 am depending on the train's schedules.

On your arrival, our guide will greet and meet you at Lao Cai railway station.You will have a breakfast at local restaurant nearby, then drive 2,5 hours on steep roads up with beautiful view of mountains, valleys and villages far away on the mist of the morning.On the way heading to Bac Ha market, you will meet many small groups of different local ethnics in new and colourful dresses happily walking or diriving on motobikes from different corners to main roads, then to Bac Ha market - the biggest one in the region,taking places only on weekly Sunday.It is the meeting places for locals to exchange products, to enjoy the crowded atmophere and to meet the wife or the husband of their dream.It is interesting to see the colorful dresses of different hill tribes of which our guide could tell you which group they belong to,to shop some local homemade produces or to try local famous dishes such as Thang Co, corn wine, cakes....Then in the afternoon, after lunch, we do trekking to Ban Pho villages of Black H'Mong to get insight of local cultures.Heading to Sapa town for your first night hotel in Sapa.

On the second day, we will do a wonderful trek down to Muong Hoa valley, the home of many local tribes, with a visit to Lao Chai village of Black H'Mong, then to Ta Van village where Dzay ethnics live.Tonight, we will have a homestay in a local family of Dzay. You will have more time to strolling around the villages, relax and take a moment to get a good shoot of sunset or sunrise in the immense region of Muong Hoa valley with terraced fields, river and waterfalls.Also, you can join locals's cooking our dinner, drink wine with them and spend your quite night in the village.
On the third day, after breakfast, we do a morning exercise with a trek to Giang Ta Chai village, the home of Red Dzao tribe.We will walk further to visit their village, see their house styles, then back to waterfall area to relax and have lunch there.The afternoon, we trek to Su Pan village nearby on the way to the main road, then take the van back to Sapa town.You can spend time shopping local products till our car picks you back to Lao Cai for a night train back to Hanoi.The end of authentic sapa tour 3 days.

The details of Authentic Sapa Tours 3 days/ 4 nights by train
Day 01: Hanoi transfer to Hanoi railway station for a night train to Lao Cai.Overnight on the train.
Pick up at your hotel then transfer to the station for a night train to Sapa. Overnight train soft sleeper with AC to Lao Cai. The train leaves at 20:25' from Hanoi railway station
Day 02: Lao Cai transfer to visit Bac Ha Market (only on Sunday) – Sapa.Overnight in Sapa (B, L)
After meeting a guide at the Lao Cai railway station we have breakfast there and go to the Bac Ha Market for two hours by a van. This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. We can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people) where we can have look in their houses and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. And then we drive back to Sapa for 3 hours. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 03: Sapa trekking tour to Lao Chai & Ta Van village.Homestay overnight with local family in Ta Van village (B, L, D)
At 10 am we leave the hotel and start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. After this you continue to Ta Van Village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.
Day 04: Sapa trekking tour to Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan village,transfer to Lao Cai for a night train to Hanoi.Overnight on train (B, L)
After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dzao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend.
We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su Pan where you will meet the jeep and transfer back to Sapa. Evening take a transfer to Lao Cai station for a night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

Day 05: Hanoi arrival
Arrive Hanoi in the early morning. End of all services here. (No any services on this day)
