The detailed travel itinerary of 4 day Hanoi - Mai Chau - Ninh Binh Exploration Tour.
Day 1. Hanoi outskirt exploration to Ba Vi mountains - Ngoc Son Village.Overnight at Moon View Garden bungalow (L,D).
At your chosen time, our tourguide & driver will pick your family up at your hotel and head to outstanding Ba Vi mountains, the outskirt area of Hanoi capital.
Enjoy the fresh air of the tropical forest & take part in scenic treks to conquer the noteable peaks of Ba Vi national park.Firstly, you will hike to the King’s peak – the highest point in Ba Vi forest, which offers you impressive panorama of the mighty Da river & surrounding evergreen Red River Delta.Here you can pay a visit to Ho Chi Minh temple recently built to pay homage to our great leader Ho Chi Minh.It is really relaxed with the overwhelmed scenery & nice to know more about Vietnamese’s great national hero with his simple & modest wishes.

After the first summit, you continue conquering the second Tan Vien peak and visit two temples : the first one worshiping Tan Vien saint ( Mountain God) and another temple dedicated to the mother goddess of heaven.The steps to go up are steeper but wonderful view you will be rewarded.
Down to the foot of Ba Vi garden for a late lunch of local Vietnamese dishes, then drive to Moon View Garden Bungalow in Ngoc Son village. Check in the room & be relaxed at leisure.
In the late afternoon, you will be offered with a nice royal foot massage - a nice way to treat your feet after the morning hike.Before the dinner, you will attend a special Buddish rituals organised by the host in his family’s worshiping place.Like most of Vietnamese, you can make a wish and pray yourselves with happness, luck, peace or prosperity for your family….
Day 2.Morning bike to Duong Lam ancient village – transfer to Mai Chau.Overnight in Mai Chau (B, L,D)
You will start your day with healthy Tai Chi exercises & get your breakfast served along with hot tea or coffee.Your morning highlight is an interesting cycling trip to Duong Lam village, the rural community famous for its well-preserved houses of ancient Vietnamese architectures.You will get to know about the village’s culture, its lifestyle & customs by visiting local families, impressive communal houses, ancient pagoda, water wells & the village’s gate….

Back to your bungalow, the host will guide you how to make some typical Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls, salad, Pho.Together, you will join the host in preparation & cooking process for your unforgetable lunch after this cooking lesson.
The afternoon, we will take a nice transfer along majestic mountains to Mai Chau valley – the residential area of such local ethnics as Black Thai, White Thai, Black Hmong, Muong, Tay….
Check in your resort or homestay, then dinner will be served with nice dances & wonderful songs performed by local ethnics.How interesting it will be when you actively take part in the performances : singing, dancing, drinking local Can wine with local ferformers…!!!
Day 3. Mai Chau valley exploration on bike -transfer to Ninh Binh.Overnight in Ninh Binh (B, L)
Good morning with such daily & nice sounds of rural villages as rooster singing, ducks calling eachother… After breakfast, you will have the whole morning biking around Mai Chau valley, stop en route to visit different local villages, experience locals doing farming & many chances for wonderful photos, then spend your time shopping locally-made products of your interest in the village.

Following the lunch, we continue with a long drive of 3 hours to Ninh Binh.Check in the room & be relaxed at leisure.
Day 4.Bike & boat ride to explore Ninh Binh's attractions : Bich Dong pagoda, Mua cave, Trang An, back to Hanoi (B, L)
Start your day with a biking trip through rural villages & impressive limestone outcrops of “Halong bay on land”. Have a stop in Mua Cave for a morning hike up to Ngoa Long summit for great panoramic view of mountains, ricefields & river

Continue cycling to Trang An Scenic Landscape, the mixed cultural & natural UNESCO heritage site in Vietnam, where you will have a scenic boat ride along waterways overviewing mountainscapes and exploring hidden caves & temples scattered in the region.
After 2,5 hour Trang An boat tour, we bike back to hotel & have lunch in a local restaurant, then have time visiting Bich Dong pagoda before driving back to Hanoi. The trip will be finished around 5h00 p.m when our tourguide & driver take you the doorsteps of your hotel.Thank you very much & see you again !
