Muong Hoa valley is a part of Hoang Lien national park, at the lowest altitude of 1000 meter high; and is the home for Hmong, Dzao, Dzay minority tribes, who have been working on slopping land and living their own ways of life for hundreds over years.There are many Muong Hoa hiking routes of long or short distances, soft or hard trekking terrains for your choices : such as 2 hour trek between Lao Chai - Ta Van villages or 3 hour trek between Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai- Ta Van villages or full day trek down Muong Hoa valley from Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai- Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai villages.If you love to experience the cosy atmosphere & home-cooked local foods, it will be great to spend a night or 2 nights in local families on your trekking routes ( Y Linh Ho- Lao Chai- Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Thanh Phu - Ban Ho)

  • Advised to take good walking shoes, raincoats, jackets, torch, insect repellent and sunscreen, drinking waters .....etc. for trekking.
  • Bring light sleeping bag if visitors stay overnight at local homestay to interact with ethnic people.
