Itinerary
7:30 Our car & guide will pick you up at your hotel then depart to the Demilitarized Zone in Quang Tri province.
First stop we will visit Khe Sanh Cambat Base – a large Marine base camp attacked by a massive forces of the North Vietnamese Army in early 1968 on the historic Road 9 linking with Laos
Then, visit other historic sites : the Rockpile Hill – one of the US military base, was used as a watchtower to observe the activities of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Ho Chi Minh Trail, Ta Con Airfield.
12:00 Have lunch at local restaurant.
Continue to visit Hien Luong bridge and Ben Hai river – famously known as the 17th parallel which was ever the demarcation line between the North and South of Vietnam after the Geneva agreement
After that we will proceed to the amazing tunnels of Vinh Moc, an underground network built by villagers as the shelter to avoid bombings during war time, where the entire village lived in these tunnels with wells, kitchens, rooms, family, hospital.. etc. This network will surely offer you an authentic view of underground life of the Viet Cong and the villagers of Vinh Linh during the U.S.-Vietnam War.
4:30 p.m: finish Hue – DMZ tour and come back to Hue city
