My family and I just finished an incredible 14 day tour of the beautiful rice terraced farmlands and mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam with Golden Holiday Travel. They were very easy to communicate with via E-mail. I told them what I was interested in seeing and they helped me plan an unforgettable off the beaten tour. We had a great private guide Vu who took us on beautiful treks and gave us information on the areas we visited and a super safe driver Nam who expertly maneuvered his way through the crazy winding narrow roads. We could have never done this on our own and it was good to have an English speaking guide to help with the day to day activities as no one spoke English in the areas we visited. Golden Holiday Travel and Vu also helped with the homestay and hotel arrangements towards the second half of the trip where I could not find descent places to stay on my own via the internet and all the places they chose were spectacular. Next time I would just have them make all our homestay arrangements as they are experts in the area. We stayed at a different location every night as we wanted to cover a lot of ground and boy did we. There is sooooo much more to see in the North other than Sapa and with few to no tourists around. I would absolutely recommend them again.

Like everyone else, I found Golden Holiday Travel by doing a google search. I e-mailed the travel agency and was immediately contacted by Mr. Ban. He answered my all my questions promptly and provided me with great information. I initially wanted to do a 4 day, 3 night tour of Hanoi. After corresponding with Mr. Ban, it turned out to be a 6 day, 5 night tour of Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh. My parents and I were met at the airport by Mr. Ban and brought to Hanoi. Mr. Ban and Mr. Kim (our friendly driver) were punctual, professional and courteous. Mr. Ban answered all our questions and provided us with so much information. My parents are in their 80s and they made every effort to accommodate them and myself. Mr. Tai also provided a great tour of the Ninh Binh area. He also provided us with so much information and was also very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this travel group. We have been to numerous countries and I find this trip to be one of my most memorable. Excellent service and unforgettable experience. We thank you Mr. Ban, Mr. Tai and Mr. Kim. You treated us like family.

I got to travel with Mr Vu up to Ba Be Lake and Ban Gioc waterfall as part of a three-day small group tour. First of all, the small group tour was great value - there were only two of us, meaning we got a really authentic experience. Mr Vu was friendly, dealt well with my (non-existent) Vietnamese language skills, and was invaluable in being a translator at homestays, for food and touring. Oh and the scenery along the long drives - beautiful! My only wish would be for more places to stop along the way.
