Last summer, when Vietnam opened up again to welcome international travellers, I did a family trip to visit Sapa and had the pleasure of visiting Tram Ton Heaven Gate. We were so lucky with the weather of light sun & blue sky almost the day, and I have to say it was truly a magical experience. The journey to get there was an adventure in itself, with winding roads and breathtaking views that left me in awe.

As I started my journey along Tram Ton Pass, I was immediately struck by the sheer beauty of the surrounding landscape. The lush green forests and rugged mountains provided a stunning backdrop, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder as I looked out at the breathtaking scenery.

As I wandered through the market, I was impressed by the colorful clothing worn by the local ethnics : H’Mong & Red Dzao. The traditional outfits were a riot of color, the intricate embroidery and weaving techniques used to create them.I was amazed at their skill and creativity, and I couldn’t resist purchasing a few items to take home with me.

I also had the opportunity to taste some of the local delicacies, and I was impressed by the flavors and spices used in the cooking. The food was simple but delicious, and I was glad that I had the chance to experience it.

I did some chat with some of the vendors and locals while shopping, and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were happy to share their technique to make certain items & how those are used in reality, and I learned a lot about the local culture and traditions.

After spending a few hours at the Tram Ton Heaven Gate, we made our way back down the mountain, taking in the beautiful scenery and breathing in the fresh mountain air. The experience was truly unforgettable, and I would highly recommend visiting this magical place to anyone who has the opportunity.
